I have been working on a lot of school lately, and of course, a few web projects.
In the past couple of weeks I have updated the bbc zooomr to include pictures from all of last semester and this semester. I’m about 200 short of 10k, so we’ll see what I can do in the rest of the semester 😀

the only way to truly love is to love with a passion that reflects that of Jesus. the only way to truly be loved is to love first, as he demonstrated. love doesn’t come easy. it’s hard to trust others and then be left to bandage up the wounds that are left after that trust is broken. scars and bruises show that. that’s what Jesus calls us to, to love others no matter what. no matter the pain, no matter what happens…to love. the only defensive action there is against this is to “stay in coma” (dead poetic). to not engage the world that we are in is a great way to stay safe. but that is not our calling. we are called to love others with the same reckless abandonment that Jesus did. the best way to change our world is not to buy a twloha tshirt, but to simply love people. loving people through not solely our actions or words, but by our very being. it should be our essence, our very presence should express that.

love people…that’s all that matters.
The title of my blog is “love is the movement.” This is based in part on twloha, but also on the song by switchfoot that it is based upon. It’s also what being a follower of Christ is all about. The greatest commandment that was give is this:
Jesus said, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.’ This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: ‘Love others as well as you love yourself.’ Matthew 22:37-39 MSG
This is pretty well what Christianity is all about, love. Love God, love people. I find that a lot of the time, it’s complicated further than that. It’s really not that hard, just put others before yourself and love Jesus.
Now going along with these thoughts is a post about current worship and the life in the church that I read today. This was written by my roomate and is a really good read for anyone in the church today.

So today was a pretty good day, I finished coding up some of the front end of the website and had two classes canceled. So then I got to sleep all afternoon and it was great. Then I made Dirt Cake for the dessert auction tonight. After consulting my mother for the recipe, I headed out to the store with stefan, where I acquired some “materials” for my project. It was pretty sweet, Kim and Jenna are the ones who won it, so they had a pretty amazing dessert haha. The money from the dessert auction went to help people in Africa and a lot was raised.
Today I have been listening to Shane & Shane quite a bit and I love the song “Mercy Reigns“. This morning during my guitar lesson, I had the teacher write it out for me. It has a pretty sweet guitar part and it’s fun to play.
I’m kinda all over the map tonight, but it has been a good day. Tomorrow I have choir leadership class before chapel, which I am not looking forward to; because that means I have to get up early.
